Day 10

Can't believe that I've been away for 10 days! Doesn't even seem like it we have been so busy. Having loads of fun so far and been really enjoying Ireland. So since I'm writing this post for yesterday I need to think about what I did yesterday.  Haha. Ok give me a sec... Just woke from a nap ;)

   Ok so we wake up.... The best sleep we have had so far. The Kingdons have turned there living room into a bed rom for us. Even building a bed. Extremely nice people. Just think about it. Irish people are known for being hospitable. Irish Jehovah's witnesses now and just over the top. 

    Chelsea isn't feeling the best. She is feeling sick. So she stays home. Tries to go back to bed while I get ready to leave for service. Service is alot like it is back home.  You drive to each house and there all really far away. No house is right next to the other ones (unless your family)   Anyway. I drove! Scary right. Ya. It is. And it was. Something a little diff here. They don't really have driveways. So most everyone is just right off the hwy. (hwy is any road that has a speed of 80 km/h or more) its really neat and easer to get to. Unlike going out in the ministry back home. And there "mountains" are really hills for us. So since it's sat. they go out at 10:00am lots of Irish ppl sleep in on this day. So that was a little funny. Because people will not even be up. It was nice to go out in the ministry. Such beautiful scenery. 

    Ok so lets skip forward a few hours after my nap now. We go to a castle! Very cool. It's called ashford cong. First we see the old monastery. That was very neat. Still ruined and not rebuilt. It was originally built in 1200 or something like that. We walked inside and were able to see all the places that they would hide the booty. Booty is treasure. Really to look close at parts of the masons artwork was truly amazing. Then we walked over to the tower. Just a watch tower built by Guinness.  This was built in 1886. So not a real castle. Still cool to see. It may have still been in battle. 

On the way to the tower I came across a branch sticking up from the ground that seemed to be dead. So I say to micheal. "can I break that?" He said "no" that it would be impossible to brake it. It was only 4" in diameter so I said ahhhhh let's see how easy it is to brake it. Well I pull my weight on the branch and nothing. Then the kids take there turn... Nothing. So I ask Chelsea to take a photo of how much the branch is bending. I get back on the branch... Pull pull lean. My whole body up in the air... Waiting for Chelsea to shoot the photo... Then... SNAP!!! The branch broke! It hit my rib cage and hurt me really really bad. Took the breath out if me! It's the next day and I can now breath without pain. Slightly. Then mike looks at the branch and said "this is rotten" ya!!! Haha. I said "that's why I thought it would brake!!! Lol". Well... That was that. Time to move on. 

   Next we walked over to the castle. Just a short walk in the mud. Ya it was raining the full day! It never let up for a sec. But that's normal I guess. Not too many people made a big deal about it. Anyway, the castle was beautifully. It was altered a little bit tho. Put windows in and stuff. Put heaters and better ceilings. But pretty much all of it is the real deal. We have lots of photos that you would like. But not alot will post. As the Internet stinks. And the computer isn't working well too here. But here is a pic of the castle for you.

Day 9

My computer isn't working at the house. So I gotta use my phone. I think it working. So this will kinda be a test I'm not gonna put too many details out. Because I know what happened last time I did that. When the Internet wasnt working too proper. Lol lost 2 hours of my time is what. 

   Anyway. Can't wait to tell you guys about what went on yesterday. Lol. 

   Fun fun fun.  Not really fun things. But it's not home and work.   

   Ok. So we wake up Friday morning. 4:00am! We went to bed at 2:00am. So not much sleep. Don't forget that we're 5 hours ahead. So getting used to sleeping at diff times has been a challenge. Ok. So anyway we go to hotel reception and ask. What are the bus times. He says the bus is over there.... (Behind some bushes) and it comes at 5:29. So we scurry eat our food (Starbucks breakfast sandwich. {bacon egg and mushrooms}) now it's dark outside and 5:10. We wanna be a little early to be sure not To miss it. Well we read the sign and the "308" bus, the one that goes to the airport, isn't on the sign. So... Well we 

decided we should wait a few to see if it comes at 5:29. Well it starts to rain... And we didn't pack out rain jackets. Haha so here we are 19 mins to go till the bus comes. And it's dark and raining. Ok. Well 5:29 comes around. And no sign of the bus. And cars are zooming past us. And it's in a blind turn. So we can't flag the few cars and trucks that go by and ask them where the bus is. Anyway.  So I start to look a little more and behind the sign is another that says our bus will come at 5:39. So that was fun.  :) the rain stopped at 5:35. That was a trip. Had to tell you. 

   So we go to the airport check in and 45 mins after getting there we fly out to Dublin. It was 65 F leaving London and landing in Dublin it was 55F. Quite a bit different. Ok. We land get our luggage ($60 to leave it there for a few days!) and go pick up our rental car. 

   Ok, this was weird. Haha. Got out little car called a "cilo" it's made by some French company. Logo looks like this "<>" haha this was so weird. Immediately I was shocked when I tried to sit in the driver seat but it was the passenger seat. Also the shifter is in the middle of the car but you shift with your left hand. I'm still used to it. We drive over a few miles to a store owned by "best buy" to get a phone card. Which now I'm using. We have data unlimited text and call for €30. We got this because of GPS. Because where were going to be going to is 3.5 hours away and he last hour doesn't have signs and road names and it's out in the middle of nowhere. :) but pretty much all of Ireland is like that. I've seen movies and cars on the wrong side of the road before. But it is just so weird getting used to this. :) so funny. 

   So we get to there house. Bu the way The address is a name, a town, and a county. That's how you type it in GPS. Meet Stella (very nice English lady.) we hang out with her for an hour until the kids and dad gets home. Anyway we talked a bit all of us. Very fun and nice family. There very proper. The dads name is Mike the daughter of 16 is Hannah. And the son Creag is 17.... Anyway. The dad. First impression. Very funny. The jokes are a little lame. :) if your reading this mike sorry. ;) but the humor is just a little diff. It's very much fun btw. The daughter Hannah is pretty funny. She is like me as-far-as the hyper part. She talked alot and is pretty loud. The boy Creag is cool too. He like games and is pretty quite like. Well compared to his sister. He actually is funny. 

The parents are English and the kids are Irish. And you can deft see a difference in the way they speak. We played some games on the Xbox watched ice age 4 and went to bed. I'll let you know what happens the next day guys.  Take care and talk soon!!!

Morning ya'll!

    Just thought i'd say hi! Apparently I already have almost 600 views on this stupid blog. haha makes me want to try and do a better job. I see some ppl looking at it from Ireland, Russia, Argentina, UK, and Siberia. Tanks guys for looking into this stupid blog. Makes me feel good about it. Because of that I promise to try and do a better job writing this thing and try to make it less boring for you guys! :)

Day 8

Our last day in London.

   Never thought i'd be this excited to leave the city. I mean don't get me wrong. We like it but dont really like it.

   Ok so last night stunk! Really really hot in our room. It was about 60 F outside and 80 F in our room! We woke up at 3:00 am and couldnt go back to sleep. I took a cold shower and stood in front of the fan on the bed. was a good way to cool down. We were able to go back to bed slept till breakfast ate then went back to bed. ;) Just starting to get used to the schedule finally.

   So we start our day finally. We walk to the museum 1.9 miles This one is called the Natural museum. Kinda cool. Ill post a few pics.

Ill have to post them later.... Ive tried a few times
now and about 30 mins later i give up! SORRY! lol

This is a sequoia tree. Pretty cool. this is from CA. you can see how they shipped it to the UK. They had it shipped in pieces. 

Before i continue let me just say a few things. What i think about the city...

• Very cool architecturally!
• Many cool cars! Seriously we saw like 4 Ferrari, prolly 50 porches, many Maseratis. and Everything else was a BMW Lexus Mesadies. There was only 5% of the cars there i didnt like. Everything was sports cars and luxury cars! Very awesome. 
• All the people were skinny, and they were all beautiful! 
• The accent was cool and fun to listen to!
• I didnt like the food. The beer was mostly warm! And the roads are all rough

Thats mostly what i can think of for now.

   After the natural museum we went and got lunch and a chinese place then went to the Science museum! Loads of fun. lol And the hands on museum was so much fun! It puts our local one to shame! We were in there for almost 2 full hours! Just playing with everything. haha We felt like kids. We didnt take much pics of this but we did get some videos. You will like our Ireland video trip we will make when we get back.
Just outside the museum we saw a Bible stand. Very cool to see our witnesses worldwide doing the work! :) No pic sorry. But you know what it looks like. You have seen them in mags!

So thats pretty much it. After that we got some drinks some food then got on the bus to go back to the airport. From there we got on another bus and went to our hotel and now im going to bed! Gotta wake up at 4:30 for our flight to Dublin! Let you know what happens tmrw evening!

OH ya btw there was a 130 car pile up today in london!!! 130 cars!!! haha it was from fog. Everyone is talking about it and its all over the news

Day 7

OK day 7 here we go.

   This was our trip to london. It was ok. Just to recap if you wanna just read the first sentence... We walked around forever and saw touristy things! There ya go now if you don't wanna read the rest your good to go! :)
   Or if you wanna read what we did ill write it for you. Maybe give you a few photos if you would like, rite? Oh my im starting to even type like these weirdos haha. English ppl are weird except @stuart. He is even weirder. Sorry buddy your not feeling good and we didnt get to see you in london. Hope you get to come to Ireland and visit me!

    Ok to start our day...
We wake up at 12:30. haha ya if you read yesterdays blog you will see how little sleep we got. So sleeping in was a lil nice. Keep in mind here if its 12:30 then back home its really 7:30. We normally wake up at 7:30 so looks like our BODY clock was right! Anyway the hotel person was really nice and didn't charge us for checking out late. I was happy about that.
    So we take a 55 min bus ride for 8 pounds (or quid)  not too bad per person i think. Anyway. So we get to downtown London and walk first to the "London Bridge" I thought it was tower bridge but i was wrong. Took .6 miles but i made it to a 2.5 mile walk haha got lost. There maps had north pointing down! I went the wrong way not cuz i cant read maps it was because these ppl do everything backwards! So we get to london bridge and can see Tower Bridge across the way. Here is a pic.

This was fun taking this pic... Chelsea tried 5 times before she got it right haha. Se was trying to take it from across the street and busses kept getting in the way! ;) Cute

   So after we see this thing (boring) haha we go get Pizza then walk 2.9 miles to our Hotel. (guys keep in mind were walking with our luggage on our backs. I have about 15lbs chelsea has about 10lbs. So these walks hurt you! 

   So we are walking to our hotel kinda just taking our time. We go to our hotel and they say we get internet right? Well NOTHING worked!!!!! Seriously annoyed! haha no Facebook no Google like any website that i use we cant access. So we left (now dark time) We were going to walk to go see Big Ben. We walked passed "buckingham palace" I guess where the queen lives. Oh ya it was a let down. No guards! Well there was guards but it was like normal guards like our cops. Ok so we made it to Big Ben like 1.5 miles away. 

After seeing that we saw this 250 foot ferris wheel. Cost $25 USD to go up!!! haha heck no. here is a pic tho. Kinda cool looking.

After that... Well not much. We ate some really good Indian food. Oh way good. The people who worked there didnt even speak english. It not like if they even spoke English we would understand. lol these ppl are really hard to understand! haha It takes alot of focus to be able to pick anything up. There has been alot of confusion lately. Anyway we went back to our dinky hotel and went to bed. 

Day 5, 6,

So ya... Not much to say now. I typed for 1 full hour!!!! It wasn't much because i type slow. But thats a full hour gone because this blog got deleted.

Also sorry for not getting back on here guys. Our internet areas have been extremely sketchy!

   Ok so here is day 5 and 6...

   

   Day 5 monday right? Thats where we were? YA!!! :) 

   Day 5 we leave for MCO get there 1.5 hours early.... Nice no wait and we get right on the plane. (BTW this will be just a quick blog to get us caught up as my last blog disappeared) We land in ATL for a 4 hour layover. Not too bad so we fly out of ATL for dublin at around 8:00pm. This was a 8 hour flight! Even tho it was long it was the coolest flight every. We got dinner and breakfast on the same flight. Also how cool is this?... We watched the sun set then rise. Now keep in mind... We flying East. The opposite direction the sun is going. And flying thru time zones. Because its 5 hours ahead in the UK. We land in Dublin around 8:00am

   Day 6

    After we land we go to a place to leave our bags. Because our next flight we cant bring "checked" bags on the plane. Thats why its so cheap to fly thru this company. (only $80 for me and chelsea to and from London) So we drop our bags off and go get ready for our next flight to london... We go to security and scan our tickets and it says "Too early" It hits me.... OH YA!!! I booked our tickets for a 12 hour layover incase delta was delayed. Well oops lol So no internet to do anything so we try and sleep. Keep in mind i cant sleep on a plane. Chelsea passed out on some random couch.. lol. 

   Anyway 8:00 pm we get on our plane then 55 mins later we land in london. go to our hotel and pass out! :) 

   I had so many little funny details for this post.... but since its gone I am not going to take the time and write them again. You can ask me later when we get back. :)

   OH also tried to load photos and it wont work at the local coffee shop... Ill get it later when we get back to a Real hotel

Day 4

OK, so day four.
    I dont even know why i writing this post. haha Basically... we woke up went shopping for a few misc things that we need. Like deodorant, travel size shampoo and soap, and snacks for the plane.
   Then we went and got lunch. OH YA!!!! This place was amazing! ohh Mmmmmm so stinking good. It was this place in the "Circle"or "Square" they call down here in Orlando. We looked up online for a  Cuban sandwich and this place had 4.5 stars (out of 5) for reviews. Everyone there was spanish. And very authentic. The cuban sandwich melted in your mouth. Oh wow and the plantains Mmmmm. Wish you all could have been there. Even the service was amazing. Just everything was so good. I know we have good food in asheville and we eat good there all the time. But something about this place was just above what we have eaten before.
    After we ate chelsea went and got her toes done.
    Then.... Guess what we did again..... We ate :) lol but it was desert. We found this Italian place and they too were fully Italian! Like lijit Italian with the hair coming out of his shirt and a gold chain. Well he did only button his bottom two buttons on his shirt lol. But they all had like VERY think accents and everyone in the "deli/desert" place was speaking Italian. I felt out of place. haha We got a cannoli and man was it good!!! Also some coffee. Just a nice 'last supper' type deal.
   Anyway thats it. WE fly out at 9:30 for our flight and will be in Dublin at like... IDK i need to look at the itinerary and don't feel like it. SO i guess ill let you know how it goes later!
